Identity OF Man Killed in Highway 13 Accident Released

An elderly man was killed when his pickup struck a semi on Highway 13 south of Central City Wednesday morning. The Linn County Sheriff's Office says the pickup truck was eastbound on Burnett Station Road and was hit by a semi as it pulled onto Highway 13. The pickup driver, 82 year old Cletus Brecht of central City, was ejected from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver, 65-year old Robert Lawrence of Delhi, was not injured in the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
