Local College Athlete gets Academic Honor

A Wartburg College athlete and Monticello native has gained academic honors. Kevin Balster of Monticello has been placed on the 2008 United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division Three indoor and outdoor all-academic teams. Balster is joined by 15 other Wartburg athletes. Balster is a senior this year. To qualify, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met the NCAA Division Three indoor or outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard in their respective event.
