N. Dakota St. picked to win conference

FARGO, N.D. (AP) - League newcomer North Dakota State is picked
to win the Missouri Valley Football Conference in a preseason poll.
The Bison received 289 points and 13 first-place votes to finish
ahead of defending league champion Northern Iowa in a poll of
coaches, media and sports information directors.
The Panthers collected the most first-place votes with 15, but
finished with 275 points.
Youngstown State is picked to finish third, followed by Western
Illinois, Southern Illinois, South Dakota State, Missouri State,
Illinois State and Indiana State.
